I really love a carnival theme with game booths and fun food. I saw the idea on John and Kate +8 and fell in love with it!

If I were going to throw Loren a party this year I would want to do a My Little Pony theme(and actually have pony rides available). As for other ideas...I wanted to do a Candy Land theme for Miranda's this year, but didn't....There's so much you could do with that theme. You could be so creative with it.

I love a good 80s-themed party for anyone over 20, and Under the Sea parties for kids in the summer, when you can spend the whole time throwing water at each other.

I did a tea party theme for my daughter's 12th birthday party! It was my favourite. I made a 3-d tea pot cake and the girls all dressed up. So much fun!

I love tropical themed parties. They're so much fun, especially in the summer time. Have cookout food and fruity drinks with umbrellas.

When I was in college, my English professors always hosted a party for the English majors where there was a literary theme. Some of them dressed up like their favorite characters, and all the food had literary themes or came from foods mentioned in books. I think literary parties are the most fun, but that's the kind of English geek I am. :)

I threw a surprise party for my husband's 39th birthday, because hey, he would expect it for 40! It was a BBQ and beer themed party, complete with BBQ sauce with personalized photo labels as favors. Yummy!

I would do a "campout" themed party. Tents, lanterns, smores and everything! You could have sleeping bag relay races and tell spooky stories-could be done inside or out!!

My favorite themed party was for Valentines Day in college. The hostesses invited an equal number of guys and girls and assigned a theme for each pair to dress up as. You wouldn't know until you got there who your date would be. (Costumes included tooth fairy and tooth, construction workers, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf). They had tons of fun activities, such as writing a poem about "your love story" using a list of random words they provided. :)

For my neice we had a Halloween theme party because her bday is two days before Halloween.

My favorite was the one we did for my daughters 7th birthday. We did a dance party, and had a DJ.
She and her friends loved it.

any party where you get to dress up, 80's dress ups are a ton of fun because you get to wear all your old clothes, if you can still fit!

I am throwing a Christmas Canyland themed party. Everything is candy and the walls are going to be murals of candyland (lots of peppermint stripes to make it Christmasy). There will be a gingerbread house contest with prizes, all types of desserts than incorporate candy, and...pretty much candy and color everywhere. It's fun for kids and adults!!

I like organizing themes that cause one to think and be creative. If I had to pick one, it would be a "polka dot" theme OR a "reptile party theme". Those sound like fun (and possibly a lot of work, too).

I did a Cookies and Crafts party last year for the girls in my daughters kindergarten class and it was so much fun! We're going to do it again this year!

As far as birthday, I've always wanted to do a Picasso Party...complete with lots of art activities!

I love Winnie the Pooh for birthday themes. Pooh is so sweet and there is usually tons of decorating ideas. I did this for my daughter and my nephew. I bought one of those Wilton cake pans that was Pooh and spent a couple of hours actually piping on the frosting. It was time-consuming, but the cake turned out sooo cute! Great giveaway - thanks for offering!

For oldest's 1st Bday, we did Bear in the Big Blue House (anyone remember that?) I cut out his picture with his friends, laminated it and put in on the cake. :) She just celebrated her 11th Bday.

we did a Harry Potter themed party for my son and made Bernie Botts beans out of jello and a jelly bean jello mold. I made some terrible flavors like chicken and pea and it was so much fun having the guests try to guess what the flavors were. the kids talked about it for weeks.

My favorite theme party was the one we had for my son's 5th birthday. We threw a cooking party. All the guests received an apron as their gift instead of a goodie bag (I made all the aprons myself). Each guest got to make his/her own English muffin pizza, their own salad, cut- out Jello jigglers and decorate their own cupcake for dessert. It was loads of fun, although very tiring for me as I was helping 11 children cook! My son still loves his apron from that party!

I love costume parties - and not just at halloween. We've had bowling birthday parties with a 70s theme, or trivia nights at friends houses with 80s prom themes, etc. It's great fun!!

My favorite theme - A Swank Cocktail party, with a specialty drink. (for adults only of course)
We throw one every year. It's always nice to have a reason to break out the crystal glasses, and wear cocktail dresses. I scour the internet for a specialty drink that matches the season

So far I've hosted a "Tie Dye Backyard Bash", "Thomas the Train", "Cowboy/Western" and "Sock Monkey" parties for my sons. I had fun with all of them, but the Sock Monkey party was more of a challenge because there weren't set party items in this theme (that I found) in the stores. I ended up making most everything, and I loved how colorful and fun it turned out.
